Flow Along Surface is a meditative drawing that uses a NASA computer simulation of solar radiation roiling along the surface of the Earths magnetic fields. Like smoke blown on the outside of a glass, these invisible energy fields are held a bay by the powerful magnetic fields that protect the earth from solar bombardment.

This meditative study in line work seeks to embody the turbulence and flow of energy outside of our protected sphere.

Created over of 7 days, with each drawing session lasting 4-6 hours.
